Ivy Bean, Known As Oldest Twitter User, Dies At 104
NPR reported that the woman known as “the world’s oldest tweeter” (@IvyBean104) died at the age of 104. The report says that Ivy had accumulated about 57,000 Twitter followers and the maximum 5,000 friends on Facebook. Her tweets ranged from—”time for a tea and biscuit I think” (especially appropriate for Monday Madeleines)—to “some have had a drink of lager while sat in the garden.” I guess that goes to show that your tweets don’t have to be profound to accumulate a large following.
Porphyria: The Vampire Disease that Started the Legend

This post on her Butt to Chair, Thoughts on the Writing Life blog from writer Melissa Hart really delivers with a shocking surprise when she opens a brown paper bag her friend gave her. Her response when asked why she opened the bag in the first place?
“Duh. Any writer worth her uni-ball Vision Elite fine-point pen always opens the bag. That’s how we find good stories.”

Craigslist reunites dog and owner after 4 years apart
Call it Kismet if you like, but this piece from Fox News Boston details how Milady, a small Cocker Spaniel, was reunited with its owner Sandra Castillo, who was forced to give up her beloved pet as she was facing serious medical issues during a pregnancy nearly four years ago. Is Your Friend a Zombie? This App Will Tell You
We found this piece on Mashable that reports the best selling book The Zombie Survival Guide now has its own free iPhone app called The Zombie Survival Guide Scanner. With it, you can use your iPhone’s rear camera to “scan” your friends face to test their level of “zombification.” Just might come in handy when you’re on a blind date. “Here, let me take your picture with my new iPhone.”
