Mother’s Day has come and gone and now it’s time once again to buckle down to the work week. We hope these Monday Madeleines will get your week started on the right foot. We also hope you’ll find them worthy of sharing and leaving a comment.
In the Dark [PIC/MUSIC]
What a great leadoff madeleiene! Here’s an amazing after-dark landscape photo that’s accompanies by words and music of In the Dark Tiesto Dance Mix (hit the play button under the pic). Simply spectacular, from our frequent contributor, photographer @ruhanirabin.
‘Beverly Hillbillies’ Actress Sues Mattel over Elly May Barbie
77-year-old Donna Douglas who played Elly May Clampett on the Beverly Hillbillies is suing Mattel, saying they used her name and likeness for a Barbie doll without her authorization. Mattel introduced the doll last December. Gee, did they name the doll Donna Douglas? Does an actor or actress playing a role on television have a legal right to sue over the use of their character’s name and likeness? I guess time will tell. Thanks to @MarshaCollier for bringing this to our attention.
Twitter Flip-Flops: Perfect for Adding Followers at the Beach
Beach weather is on the way, and why not put on a pair of flip-flops that will leave your imprint in the sand? Created by Italian designer Paolo Ulian, these babies are made to leave tracks in the sand when you walk. While we can appreciate the sandals were originally designed for brides who wanted to get married on the beach, if you’re going to use them for Twitter, they’re not much good for getting a following unless the include your Twitter handle. Brought to us by Diana Adams of @adamsconsulting.
Video of the Week
Who Wants to be a Millionaire Blooper
OK, so maybe it’s just a bit juvenile. It’s still funny.
