We work behind the scenes to improve services for New York City’s out-of-school and out-of-work young adults. As an intermediary, we foster partnerships among service providers, engage the business community in solutions, and secure funding to support innovative programs. We are a catalyst for connecting young people to the workforce.

How We Work
Community organizations work hard to respond to the needs of so many young adults. But they need resources to expand their services and expert advice on how to navigate the system. Young adults in low-income neighborhoods need better access and support to get the knowledge and skills required to succeed. Businesses need a skilled and motivated workforce, and funders need investment opportunities that provide stronger outcomes for more young adults.

JobsFirst NYC connects all of these complex audiences, institutions and interests. As a broker of ideas and relationships, we bring the right people together to ensure youth have the right connections to become work ready.
